Description Thomas Hiilbig Pedersen 2016-06-15 17:28:56 UTC
When one or more nordic characters are in the project paths, compiling fails.

Error:

/Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/External/xbuild/Xamarin/iOS/Xamarin.iOS.Common.targets: Error: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: /Volumes/Macintosh HD 1/Users/Thomas/Torben ??rb??k/BuyOrSell/Xamarin/BuyOrSellApp/iOS/obj/iPhoneSimulator/Debug/actool/bundle/AppIcons29x29.png does not exist
File name: '/Volumes/Macintosh HD 1/Users/Thomas/Torben ??rb??k/BuyOrSell/Xamarin/BuyOrSellApp/iOS/obj/iPhoneSimulator/Debug/actool/bundle/AppIcons29x29.png'

  at Xamarin.MacDev.Tasks.SmartCopyTaskBase.Execute () <0xeceef90 + 0x002bf> in <filename unknown>:0 (BuyOrSellApp.iOS)

The part of the path is
Torben Ørbæk
and not
Torben ??rb??k

This is a path that worked with mono version 4.2 but fails under 4.3 and 4.4

This has been an issue earlier in 2015 (for windows - I am using a Mac), link here: https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=29813
