Description Cody Beyer (MSFT) 2016-04-17 17:58:08 UTC
# Description

There appears to be an issue where a COM port will be unable to send data properly after the connecting is closed and instantiated again.

# Steps to Reproduce

1. Instantiate ComPort

2. Open instantiated ComPort

3. Close ComPort

4. Dispose ComPort

5. Instantiate Comport

6. Open instantiated ComPort

# Expected Results

The comport initiated in step 6 should be able to send data

# Actual Results

The comport in step is sends empty data packets

This is very likely an issue with the mono class library with ComPort.

I have no machine with a com port, so I can not reproduce.

Ideally, we'd love sample code showing the exact code that hit this.
Comment 2 Cody Beyer (MSFT) 2016-04-18 15:39:33 UTC
I should note, that the data sends, however the data packet is of 0 KB

Thanks!
