After uninstalling or disabling the IDE extension, you need to restart the IDE. You may also need to clean/rebuild your project.

Are you targeting a simulator or a device?
Does your project involve accessing an https resource at startup?
It appears that the core assemblies we swap in (see http://developer.xamarin.com/releases/inspector/preview/inspector-0.3.1/#What_does_it_do ) have broken cryptography. I see the same error as you if I try to access an https resource on iOS with the Inspector installed.
Android, Mac, and WPF are unaffected.
Yes, it connects to Parse.com
