Description Jackson Harper 2013-09-27 13:24:22 UTC
It would be nice if you could override the XCode location on a per project basis. This would be really useful on CI servers, or when supporting multiple versions of an app which require building with older versions of XCode.

I don't think we'll add UI for this, but it should be possible to do it via MSBuild properties when we move to MSBuild for iOS projects.
Comment 2 Jackson Harper 2013-09-27 14:32:17 UTC
Thanks Michael, non-UI would be perfect for my use cases.
Comment 3 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2015-09-24 12:35:24 UTC
This should be relatively straightforward to implement now we've moved to MSBuild/xbuild.
Comment 4 Sebastien Pouliot 2017-01-03 14:26:43 UTC
@Vincent, can you check if this is already possible ? and if not add it to your todo, thanks!
Comment 5 Rolf Bjarne Kvinge [MSFT] 2017-10-06 08:38:52 UTC
This should also support using different Xcode locations for different projects in the same solution (see bug #59756)

There are also some useful implementation notes in this PR: https://github.com/xamarin/xamarin-macios/pull/2781
