Comment 1 Alan McGovern 2013-06-18 15:11:43 UTC
1) Enable 'halt on all thrown exceptions
2) Start a debug session
3) MonoDevelop will halt execution due to a thrown and handled exception. Do *not* continue. Wait on that breakpoint for about 20-30 seconds

Result:
MonoDevelop ends up in an inconsistent state and can no longer debug anything until it is restarted

This affects me a lot in my day to day work. I keep having to restart MD just to maintain a working debugger.

I think this was that infinite loop bug that I fixed last week or so
Comment 4 Alan McGovern 2013-08-14 13:05:04 UTC
This bug still affects me on a regular basis and I still have to keep restarting my MD as it become incapable of spawning new debug sessions.
Comment 5 Jeffrey Stedfast 2013-08-14 13:15:48 UTC
Do you have stale mono debug processes running?
Comment 6 Alan McGovern 2013-08-14 13:16:29 UTC
I don't know. Those repro steps still apply so it should be trivial to reproduce on your machine.
