A very important information stored in an addressbook contact entry is the birthday of the person. This is missing in the current implementation of the API.

Please add birthday to the Contact class. It would be clever to add events as general enumeration to contacts and put birthday as type there.

I am so disappointed to have just started building an app to do with birthdays to find that the xamarin.mobile contacts feature does not enable you to access birthdays! ny idea when this will be included?

I believe it's still impossible with Xamarin Android to access any events (including birthdays) associated to a contact. So this ticket is still on status 'NEW', and nothing happened? How can this be?
