test case that compiles under dmcs but not on MSC#

In trying to understand how dynamic works in C#, I ended up coming up with a superset of the following test case. This progam compiles and runs under dmcs, but fails under Microsoft's C# compiler. Consulting the language spec, I suspect that the mono front-end is performing an illegal (though sensible) coercion.
