Steps to reproduce this issue:
1. Create iPad template application.
2. Select All Configuration
3. Observe that iPad Simulator not exists in Platforms
4. Select iPhoneSimulator and click OK.
5. Observe that Target iOS Device display 'iPhone'

Actual result: For iPad template application, iPadSimulator does not appear in platforms. However, after selecting iPhoneSimulator, Targer iOS Device display 'iPhone' and user need to select 'iPad' manually in Target iOS Device to deploy on iPadSimulator. 

Expected Result: For iPad templates application, iPadSimulator should display instead on iPhoneSimulator under Platforms.

This is a v2 feature.

Visual Studio will display the content of "Platform" item on the csproj.

We have no control what visual studio fill-up on the Platform ComboBox.

Maybe for v2 we can find a way to hack the Platform ComboBox to display iOS Simulator or iOS Device like XS.

We won't be looking into enhancing this.
