Description Paul Johnson 2013-01-10 11:13:57 UTC
When running my app (code is in BZ #8746), I am getting a X509 security error. This is not being relayed correctly to the debugger

The source line being hit is most likely https://github.com/mono/mono/blob/mono-2-10/mcs/class/corlib/System.IO/FileStream.cs#L663? with the message attempting to come back s a ERROR_WRITE_FAULT (this comes from jonp's diagnosis of the issue)

The fault only shows in debug mode. I've not tested this on a PC, only a mac

I can't reproduce this problem, MD showed the exception just fine.

Why do you think an X509 error has something to do with FileStream?

It sounds to me like you're conflating the X509 exception and the stream exception.

Anyway, the X509 is another handled exception that's only showing up in the debugger because you have catchpoint enabled. That's what catchpoints do - show exceptions at the point they're thrown, regardless whether they're handled or not.
