Project with sample code.
Byte.TryParse gives different results on Mono and MS .Net when parsing exponents. When parsing the text "4E+1", Mono returns null, but Visual Studio returns 40. This is with NumericStyles.AllowExponent set on both VS and Mono.
public static void Main(string args)
IFormatProvider english = new CultureInfo("en-US");
//In Visual Studio, TryParse sets value to 40. In Mono, value is set to null.
bool succeeded = Byte.TryParse("4E+1", NumberStyles.AllowExponent | NumberStyles.Integer, english, out value);
Console.WriteLine("The converted text = " + value);
Console.WriteLine("TryParse returned null");
Fixed already in Mono 3.0
