The async io code in https://github.com/ysw/mono-socket-problem fails quite reliably on amd64-linux. No luck on OSX though.

Martin, can you take a look on this one? Thanks.
Comment 2 Martin Baulig 2012-12-04 14:21:29 UTC
Yeah sure, do you want me to look at this on OSX or amd64-linux ? I also have a Laptop running OpenSuSE - whatever the latest version was in January.
Comment 3 Rodrigo Kumpera 2012-12-04 14:23:40 UTC
Hi Martin.

I could only reproduce it on 64bits linux, not on OSX. It's worth looking into it as it might affect mono on OSX as well.
Comment 4 Martin Baulig 2012-12-04 14:30:27 UTC
Hi Rodrigo,

Does MONO_DISABLE_AIO=1 change anything ? That's where the implementation is different on Linux and OSX.
Comment 5 Rodrigo Kumpera 2012-12-07 11:43:42 UTC
Hi Martin, yes, using the poll backend on client side fixes the issue, so it's kqueue on the client side.

Does this problem still exist?
Comment 9 Rodrigo Kumpera 2013-06-26 12:10:05 UTC

Could you take a look at this one?

Returning this to the pool of confirmed bugs.

I have tried to reproduce on ubuntu 64bits with no luck so far, both with AIO (epoll) enabled and disabled. Marking as not reproducible, and if by any chance you can reproduce, please reopen.
