Description dave 2012-11-27 11:32:09 UTC
I have a landscape and portrait layout for an activity. when the orientation is switched, TextView fields are not updated but EditText fields are. In addition, the EditText field that was in process of entry becomes not Enabled (gray) with a red border. If I change to ConfigurationChanges=Android.Content.PM.ConfigChanges.Orientation the the portrait layout updates fine when changed to landscape.

@dave: "m4a" means "Mono for Android"; he was reassigning the Product, which may have required a comment.

Can you provide a sample demonstrating the behavior you're seeing? Normally, on screen rotation the Activity is recreated (including everything the Activity refers to), so when you're creating dynamic content, unless you go out of your way to _preserve_ that dynamic content, it will be lost.
