Description Pierce Boggan [MSFT] 2012-11-16 16:03:36 UTC
"I have the same .xaml filename in layout-port and layout-land. If I change the one in layout-port with MD it writes it out to layout-port and layout-land. If I change it with an editor, start up MD and then run the program they are different/correct. Version 4.2.7."

This is the expected behavior. All versions of the same layout will be modified together unless you lock on a specific qualifier (such as orientation). The following document explains how to work with alternative resources:

The two .axml layouts have a different orientation locked. One portrait the other landscape, yet MD overwrites both if I change one. So it's not a feature it's a bug.

Opps, my bad. Saw the lock icon, but realize it wasn't depressed. After locking both it works great. Thanks. BTW, love Mono Android/MonoTouch.

The locked setting doesn't seem to be saved. So I need to lock a layout each time I change it?
