MonoDevelop 3.0.5

When I need to update my web service reference file, I end up pasting 950k of text in MonoDevelop.
The file has about 18.000 lines of code.
I can open the file in MD without problems and I can also easily search and navigate in it.
Then I select all and copy to clipboard.
Next I want to paste the content into the existing CS file.

Result: CPU goes to 100% and stays there for around 10 minutes!
My machine is a Core i7 3.4 GHz with 12 GB of RAM.

I usually end up copying the contents using TextEdit. MD should also be able to handle this amount of data.

It's the formatting engine - can you turn off on the fly code formatting and source analysis (if enabled) - that should improve the things.

I've optimzized the paste operation in the next version of the editor - I did some more optimizations today to make it even better. This version will be much faster.
