Step to Reproduce:
1. Start Mono for Development.
2. Build the code then click on Run.
3. select the emulator from the list and click on Start Emulator button.
4. Observe that nothing happened.

Actual Result:
Nothing happens when user selects the Emulator from the list and click on the Start Emulator button. Also if we create a new emulator and then try starting it.
even it doesn't work.
Refer to the attached screenshot.

Expected Result: When user selects the emulator and click on Start Emulator button, the emulator should invoke and app should start running on that.

Windows XP (32 bit)
Windows XP (64 bit)

Marek, Joseph,

Could you confirm what are the minimal requirements for Mono for Android development?

Do we support Windows XP?

My feeling is we should not support XP.

This is the issue where Google's Android SDK went for several months broken in that you could not start an emulator if you installed the SDK in a path that contained spaces (which was Google's default).

Since then, Google finally fixed the issue in newer SDK versions. Additionally, we worked around this issue so we could still launch emulators despite this bug.

Additionally, we support Windows XP, both 32 and 64 bits.
