Error where no error bars are displaying
Selected text not visible. How to repro: make sure your solution does not build. Now build, the cursor will jump to the first compile error. Now try to fix the error by selecting text using SHIFT CURSOR keys. The selected text will be hidden. Works if you are not in a build error situation.
I can see those bars [the error bars] for a short moment and then they are gone.

Error bars correctly showing
Can you make a screencast ? Shoudn't happen in 2.8 - I've redone the data structure in 2.8 for the error bubbles because the old one was slow and error prone.
Now we're using fast, reliable balanced trees - but maybe there is a bug. I've tried to reproduce it very much today without success. If anyone could provide a screencast I may be able to get the exact use case.
it was the semantic highlighting - the error bubbles are quite unrealated to text rendering.
fixed in master/2.8.
