Description Sebastien Pouliot 2012-09-10 09:31:20 UTC
MKOverlayView is a subclass of UIKit so it _shares_ the same (ui thread) limitation. However some helper methods, e.g. `RectForMapRect` [1], are not UI related and likely safe to be used outside the main thread.

The sample source code that I see uses these methods on a method that is expected to be thread safe, so I am going to flag these as thread safe.
