Description Vincent Bergeron 2012-09-06 17:10:15 UTC
Here's a simple code example

		public MainViewController() : base ("MainViewController")
			_addressBook = new ABAddressBook();
			_addressBook.ExternalChange += HandleExternalChange;

		void HandleExternalChange(object sender, ExternalChangeEventArgs e)
			for (int i = 0; i < e.Info.Count; i++)
				var key = e.Info.Keys [i];
				var value = e.Info [key];
			Logger.Log("Address book changed");

e.Info is supposed to be a NSDictionnary and contain informations about the changed entries in the address book.

But in debugger, the type of e.Info is object and is null.

To reproduce the bug, launch the app, then launch the Contact app, change something in one contact and return in the debugged app. The event will be raised and nothing is in e.Info.

According to Apple's documentation 'info' is always null: http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#DOCUMENTATION/AddressBook/Reference/ABAddressBookRef_iPhoneOS/Reference/reference.html#//apple_ref/doc/c_ref/ABExternalChangeCallback

Our own documentation also says that the 'info' parameter can be null: "A MonoTouch.Foundation.NSDictionary containing additional information about the ABAddressBook.ExternalChange event. This may be null." (from: http://docs.go-mono.com/?link=P%3aMonoTouch.AddressBook.ExternalChangeEventArgs.Info).
