I'm using MonoDevelop 220.127.116.11(on windows 7) and would like to debug my app on nexus 7 (android 4.1.1), but every time I'm getting the following error: "Deployment failed. An error occurred synchronizing the package assemblies." However, in release mode the app can be launched on the device. How to fix this?
I found the same bug, but was able to successfully deploy by simply renaming the 'Debug' folder in the 'bin' folder after the initial, unsuccessful deployment. Seems that mono is recognizing the .apk files and failing to redeploy?
Debug builds require Mono for Android 4.2.5 in order to deploy to the Nexus 7. Are you using 4.2.5? It's currently in the beta channel.
Thanks Jonathan, I was using 4.2.4 and that was the problem, with 4.2.5 I can debug my app on nexus 7.
