If MonoDevelop is behind a restrictive proxy, it can take up to 1 minute for the the WebRequest to time out. The result is that if you quit MonoDevelop before this call has completed, MonoDevelop will appear to have hung. We should add timeouts to these calls to prevent this hanging MonoDevelop.
