If i update to MonoTouch 5.3.5, nothing compiles. Not even a new clean project, it just says mtouch exited with code 1 all the time. How do I downgrade to 5.3.4? (I can't downgrade to the stable 5.2.x because major parts of my project just don't work on that version).

On a side note : why isn't there a download page where we could up or downgrade to any version?

There was an issue with the "eval" package - but it should work for the full version.

Can you attach the build output ? and also add "-v -v -v" to your build options (so we will have some extra hints about what's going on). Thanks

You should be able to download releases from http://support.xamarin.com/
"Download Purchased Software" link under "Product Download and Activation Self Service"

Here's the part of the build output that shows how it crashes : http://codepad.org/FaFUC1ms

I did update the mono runtime to the most recent version (of the Alpha releases) and the bug is still here.

Also, adding "-v -v -v" doesn't seem to change anything on the build output.

That's the issue we had with the "eval" package.
Could you run thje following from a terminal window ?

$ /Developer/MonoTouch/usr/bin/mtouch --help | head -n 4
Comment 4 Louis Boux 2012-07-24 13:55:06 UTC
here's what it says

Corlib not in sync with this runtime: expected corlib version 632, found 96.
Loaded from: mscorlib.dll
Download a newer corlib or a newer runtime at http://www.go-mono.com/daily.

When I tried to update to the real (not eval) version of monotouch 5.3.5 it shows this error (I've never seen this before). Does the license expire at some point?

Ok, so you're running the evaluation version. This is a known issue and an update will be pushed soon.

> Does the license expire at some point?

A MonoTouch license gives you all updates for one year [1]. After that time you'll need to renew it to get newer updates but any existing version(s) you have will continue to work.

A newer version of "eval" should be available (and includes the right mscorlib.dll).
MD should warn you about the update being available on the beta channel.
