Description Atin Agarwal 2017-12-13 09:36:12 UTC

i am currently on latest version of Visual Studio for Mac(7.3.799), Mono, Xamarin iOS (, Xamarin Mac(

recently i have been getting "Error getting response stream (ReadDone1): ReceiveFailure" randomly (approx 1 out 15) while calling a webservice.

            HttpWebRequest req;
                req = (HttpWebRequest)(WebRequest.Create(downloadUrl));
            catch (Exception e)
                return e.Message;

the process gets stuck at this line and returns the error after 1-2 minutes.

i have used this code since last 2 years and it has been working perfectly until last couple of months.

any suggestions to sort this error please?

We need some more information about the issue. Please can you provide use with the following information:

* A small test case with he full call to the web service.

We can try and do a similar call using the HttpClient and its different implementation which you can choose from the project preferences.

Once I have a small example I'll take a look to reproduce the issue and triage/fix it.

Thanks in advance.
