Description p.k 2017-12-06 07:49:52 UTC
I am trying to adapt my layout to the new iPhone X and I am having issues with TabbedPage and safe area insets.

 - On<iOS>.SetUseSafeAreas(true) will not respect the safe area for the children of the TabbedPage
 - I have not been able to get sound safe area insets with On<iOS>.GetSafeAreaInsets()
 - The SafeAreaInsets property does not appear to be changed (it is for ContentPage)
 - The same holds true for the children of the tabbed page.

The TabbedPage lives within a NavigationPage, but this is also true for the ContentPage the safe areas work for. If the tabbed page is not within a NavigationPage the safe area insets *do* work for the children.

If can provide further information, I will happily do so.
