log file

I updated my Visual Studio for Mac to this version : 7.2 and also updated Xcode to version 9.0 and have since been having problems with the iOS designer. I always get a pop up saying "MonoTouchDesignServerUnified quit unexpectedly" after I launch the storyboard, which I constantly have to ignore. When the storyboard loads, I then have the warning "Custom components are not being rendered because problems were detected".

I am not using any custom components on this project. So this is a little confusing for me.

In Xamarin Studio, I am not even able to load the designer at all. There's an error instead.

There's an attachment of the log file and a screen shot of the error from the storyboard inside Xamarin Studio.

This sounds similar to the issue described in Bug 58803. The issue there has been fixed. Could you confirm you are still experiencing the problem you mentioned here after you update to the latest 15.5.5 version of Visual Studio 2017 or Visual Studio for Mac 7.3?
