Description Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2011-09-02 06:33:19 UTC
The Monotouch framework sometime does not load correctly. This results in a console message that mscorlib cannot be found, messages that the mtouch tool cannot be found, and assemblies marked as missing in the solution pad.

It's random, probably a race somewhere, maybe the SystemAssemblyService.

We probably need to add some debugging code to print out the value of the SDK location, and release it into the wild in an alpha.

*** Bug 1642 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Comment 3 Miguel de Icaza [MSFT] 2011-10-22 20:59:21 UTC
From the duplicated bug report: sometimes the error that is reported is that "Framework 'Mono for iPhone' is not installed" is shown to the user.

miguel, how frequently can you reproduce this? I haven't seen it in weeks myself.
Comment 5 Miguel de Icaza [MSFT] 2011-10-25 14:46:01 UTC
I have not been able to reproduce, but I do not load MonoDevelop very often, during the week, I am usually tied up with too many other things. I barely have time to hack for my personal joy :-)
Comment 6 Alan McGovern 2011-11-10 10:14:49 UTC
Rolf fixed this recently, it was a race condition in a lazyily loaded static var.
