Description andreaturconi 2017-07-20 14:54:42 UTC

I'm having this warning while building my application:

Failed to read 'C:\Users\me\documents\visual studio 2017\Projects\Phoneword\Phoneword\Phoneword.Android\obj\Debug\android\assets\Mono.Android.dll' with debugging symbols. Retrying to load it without it.

I searched in the Internet but nothing worked for me.
Can you help me please?

Hello there!

Do you perhaps have a sample project demonstrating this behavior? What we are specifically after is the .csproj which contains the <DebugType> and <DebugSymbols> elements which can help us pinpoint this issue.

Secondly, can you please post your version information so we know what build you are on? In Visual Studio, you can go to Help->About Visual Studio and in Visual Studio for Mac, you can go to Visual Studio For Mac->About Visual Studio For Mac.

If you are currently on 7.1 as per your initial filed version, please ensure to update to the latest Stable version.

Hello again!

Based on this sample project, I'm not seeing any warnings appear running on the same build version.

Do you have a screenshot of this warning?

Secondly if you can add a diagnostic build output to this bug report (As a file attachment or gist link), that would be really appreciated!

This sounds weird to me.
Today the build succeed succesfully without any modification...
I really can't explain why.
Anyway the app runs on UWP but it doesen't on Android Emulator.
I attach the build output!
Comment 6 andreaturconi 2017-07-25 09:01:10 UTC
Well, today everything is working.
I swear I have not changed any parameter or code.
What can I say? Thanks a lot to all.
