Description Scott 2012-06-20 10:47:22 UTC
Sorry guys but MonoDevelop doesn't totally fix the cut, copy, paste issue. While I can cut, copy, and paste from within the editor, I CANNOT cut, copy, and paste from the editor to an application outside of the editor like TextEdit or Mail.

I get the following error upon pasting:

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
  at Mono.TextEditor.Utils.RtfWriter.GenerateRtf (Mono.TextEditor.TextDocument doc, ISyntaxMode mode, Mono.TextEditor.Highlighting.ColorScheme style, ITextEditorOptions options) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
  at Mono.TextEditor.ClipboardActions+CopyOperation.SetData (Gtk.SelectionData selection_data, UInt32 info) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
  at Mono.TextEditor.ClipboardActions+CopyOperation.ClipboardGetFunc (Gtk.Clipboard clipboard, Gtk.SelectionData selection_data, UInt32 info) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
  at GtkSharp.ClipboardGetFuncWrapper.NativeCallback (IntPtr clipboard, IntPtr selection_data, UInt32 info, IntPtr user_data_or_owner) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

The really strange thing is that after I have acknowledged the error multiple times (pressing ok), the error dialog finally goes away and then I can see the content I've pasted into the destination application.

it's already fixed - but last week (too late for the release)
