your current version information, steps to reproduce, and relevant error
messages or log files if you are hitting an issue that looks similar to
this resolved bug and you do not yet see a matching new report.
Add a component to your project, for instance Firebase Analytics for iOS. This is true in both Xamarin Studio for Mac and Visual Studio for Mac.
Result: When you remove the component, all the packages that were added remain.
Expected Result: Packages that are no longer needed are removed.

This is currently by design. The NuGet packages may be used in other parts of the project and not just by the Component.
Could there be a toggle to force-attempt to uninstall associated packages? It makes it hard to try out a component when they don't have a good uninstall policy.
