F# Android + iOS won't compile when using latest F# Core 4.1.7

This is pretty straight forward. Using the latest Visual Studio for MAC, create a new Android or iOS project. Upgrade to the latest FSharp.Core and try to compile. You will notice it can't find types or functions that are defined in FSharp.Core. However, switching to the GAC FSharp.Core, the project(s) should compile.
