Description Assem Hakmeh 2017-05-08 07:15:39 UTC
When using a 2x2 Grid layout and the VisualElement in position 1,1 has a blur effect applied. the result is a blurred view of the correct size that is positioned at 0,0 instead of 1,1 in the Grid.

After some searching, the issue seems to result from the LayoutSubviews method in VisualElementRenderer iOS:

		public override void LayoutSubviews ()
			base.LayoutSubviews ();
			if (this._blur != null && this.Superview != null) {
				this._blur.Frame = this.Bounds;
				if (this._blur.Superview == null) {
					this.Superview.Add (this._blur);

Since the blur view is added to the SuperView, its Frame should be set to the Frame rather than Bounds.

Can you please upload a minimized reproduction project demonstrating the issue? It would be much appreciated. Thanks!

XAML Showing Blur positioning error

The BoxView is positioned in the lower right corner. However, the blur effect is showing in the upper left corner instead of being hidden behind the blue rectangle of the BoxView.

Updating to confirmed for now; checked against the latest 2.3.6 nightly build.

Seems like this still isn't resolved in the latest 2.4.x release. Do you have any timeline for this 1-line fix?

This work will be scheduled for a future release which has yet to be determined. We also welcome PRs from the community, so you're also welcome to submit one for us to review in the meantime. Thanks!
