[VS2013 iOS] Unable to create IPA even after checking the "Build iTunes Package Archive (IPA)"

On creating a single view iPhone app in Release/AppStore Configuration, and checking the "Build iTunes Package Archive (IPA)" option, IPA is not created.

Environment Info:
Microsoft Visual Studio Ultimate 2013
Version 12.0.31101.00 Update 4
Xamarin (e43a71c)

Detailed Info:

1. Create a single view iOS app and set all the configurations as per the iTravel sample including the Certificates and Profiles.
2. Check the "Build iTunes Package Archive (IPA)" option under the iOS IPA Options section in the project properties.
3. Build the application.
4. Right click on the project and select the "Open Folder in File Explorer" option.
5. navigate to the BIN > iPhone folder and then in the AppStore/Release folder.

Expected result:

Actual result:
The mentioned directory does not contain the generated .ipa file.
