project where device builds are slower than they use to be
Builds for an iPhone device are taking much, much longer with the latest build (6.3).
With the attached test project, an iPhone simulator build takes under 10 seconds while an iPhone build takes over 2 minutes.
These numbers are more exaggerated for my larger project where the builds are taking over 10 minutes.
These numbers are doing a clean all and Run of main app project.
I have diagnostic level set for build output and when there is a long delay there is not activity in the log and then it finally finishes the build.
Could you provide the current version information for your development environment?
The easiest way to get exact version information is to use the "Xamarin Studio" menu, "About Xamarin Studio" item, "Show Details" button and copy/paste the version informations (you can use the "Copy Information" button).
Also, what versions were you using previously, and what build times were you seeing before the update compared to what you see after?
I was using whatever the previous version was. I always update when stable release is available The builds were taking seconds, not minutes. My edit, build, run cycle time is terrible now. On the good side, I have so much spare time waiting for builds I am spending a lot of time answer questions in the forums! But seriously, this is really affecting my productivity.
Also, the editor is kinda whacked in this release too. When you copy/paste the indents got tossed as well as some of the characters. The missing characters may possible be the cause of the screwed up indents as a missing semicolon messes up the indents. I know I should enter another bug for this but haven't had a chance to detail the issue.

Thanks for the update, and for reporting the issue. I tested on current stable and the previous version and saw it taking ~5x as long to build on the current version. It looks like we have another bug related to the issue, and fix has already been determined and should be coming in the 15-2 release.
