this resolved bug and you do not yet see a matching new report.
Similar to how there is an optional UWP component in the Xamarin workload, it would be nice to have the same option for the Azure bits that we need. Victor has already looked into finding exactly what components these are, but hasn't quite nailed them down yet. This means that we would need to include the Azure Workload in its entirety -- which is about 6GB.
1) Start VS2017 installer
2) Select the Xamarin Workload
3) Observe the optional components on the right
Actual: There is no optional component for the Azure bits required for Connected Templates.
Expected: Ideally the specific component(s) required for developing Connected Templates.
This is reproducible using the VS2017 RTW installer 1.5.30227.2
