Description Yves Delcoigne 2017-02-20 18:36:44 UTC
I've created an empty Xamarin Android project in Visual Studio for Mac. I've changed the linking to "Link SDK assemblies only". Then I've added the "System.Buffers" NuGet package. When building this project I receive the following error:

Error XA0009: Error while loading assembly: System.Buffers.dll

This only happens with the "Link SDK assemblies only" option. When disabling linking or enabling full assembly linking, this doesn't occur.
I've also had this issue with the beta version of Xamarin Studio.

My guess is that it has something to do with Mono version 4.8.0. When building the project in the terminal with Mono version 4.6.2 (Xamarin Studio stable), this error doesn't occur.

At the moment I can continue working with the stable version, but I'm concerned when the Mono version will be updated and this error isn't solved (as in, it would break our project).

Is there something I can do to work around this, or anyone who knows if this is a known issue?
