Bug https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3235 mentions something that is dismissed as a "downstream bug in the Unity JS plugin."
That's not at all the case -- the bug is reproducible in plain MonoDevelop, at least when editing C++ code. The trick is to have "auto-format code" turned on.
Reproduction is simple:
2) Put the cursor before "a" and press shift-linedown to select an entire line
4) Put the cursor before "i"
You will now see that the "ijkl" line starts with TWO "i" characters.
Apparently this happens on MacOS X in 2.8, and it also happens in Linux in 2.6 (which is the version shipped with Mint 12, which is the current distribution -- you might want to poke them about updating...)
At a minimum, please turn on auto-reformatting of code and try this experiment in 3.0 to see if it's still there. My guess is it is.
Works in master/3.0.
(At least tested in master)
