reference log

Repro Steps:
1. Launch Visual Studio RC 2017
2. Open File+New Project+Select "Crossplatform" from the Left Pane
3. Select "Cross Platform App"
4. "New Crossplatform" window opens.
5. Using Left/Right arrow key navigate to "Master Detail" .
6. Launch Inspect tool
7. Observe "Help Text" property for "Master Detail" template in inspect
[When the Focus is on "Master Detail" description of master detail will be appear at Right pane of the window.]
8. Similarly Navigate to "Blank App","Blank App(XML) and observe Help Text in inspect

Actual Behavior:
Help Text is empty

Expected Behavior:
Help Text should be defined for Master Detail, Blank app and "Blank app xml" template options

For Ex: For Blank app xml help text should be defined as
"A cross platform template for building apps with Xamarin. Forms entirely based on XAML.
(Refer to screen shot "Reference" for correct behavior)

User impact:
Narrator doesn’t read the template description while navigating between the templates.
User have to use Narrator commands explicitly to read the description if help text is not defined

Fixed in commit:a2bbd2212b962aff5cc6a0f2fba08f4626ca3140

It's already included in latest Duplo-Templates internal build.
Comment 3 Ben Beckley 2017-02-22 19:03:13 UTC
I have verified that there is are help text entries for the Cross-Platform Master Detail and Blank App templates by following the reproduction steps in the description. There is no longer a Blank App (XAML) template which is why it was not included in the verification.
