When building for API 23, there does not seem to be an equivalent to <activity android:lockTaskMode="always"></activity> in the Manifest.xml

This setting causes an app to start in this mode instead of having to manually enable/disable on startup and shutdown.

There doesn't appear to be an attribute for this so I will move this to enhancement. You can manually apply this to the manifest file to get the behavior.
