Description Andi McClure 2016-11-15 22:51:20 UTC
On Linux we have twice seen a hang while running this profiler test:

    Checking test-heapshot.exe with report,heapshot …Stacktrace:

This happened yesterday on Linux Intel64 and today on Linux Arm32el:

The test normally runs for eight seconds, in both of these cases it was forcibly halted after 30 minutes.

I don't think I'd seen this before this week.

I've not been able to repro and the Jenkins links are no longer valid. Have there been any recent occurrences of this?

If we can still reproduce, we can reopen. Marking as resolved for now.

Just for the record, it's highly likely that this hang was caused by the old, buggy buffer lock algorithm, which has since been rewritten. I also haven't seen the hang in the past month or so.
