Created attachment 18297 [details]
In the latest version 10.2.1.4 I continue to keep getting "Cannot access a disposed object. Object name: "BuildConnection"" Sometimes VS crashes and then I have to restart it to fix it.
It would be good to have more details and better information on this error.
i - When does it happens? (on every build attempt, sometimes, etc)
ii - Are you getting full connected to XMA (green XMA icon on the toolbar)
iii - Please start VS in log mode, so we can get verbose logs on both Win and Mac (devenv.exe /log)
iv - After reproducing the error with VS in log mode, please attach the VS logs as well as Mac logs of the corresponding VS session
Changing status to NEEDINFO based on previous comment
Coarse reproduction steps:
> just debug ios apps usually with remote ios simulator from windows
> And about after a few runs it will just happen
> Has never happened before
> Ran into it about 10 times yesterday
Plus info from @Alan:
> that error happens when xvs disposes it's `BuildConnection` object
ObjectDisposedException is thrown when MSBuild tries to use BuildConnection, because the connection has been finished for some reason.
That's why MSbuild output, VS and XMA logs would be useful. I need to figure out if the XMA connection is being closed (error, remote disconnection, etc). Also If it's being closed on VS and MSBuild, only on MSBuild, etc.
Only with the above information I can do basically nothing, because I'm not being able to reproduce it.
I will play around a little bit to try getting this behaviour.
But if you can get me the logs when this happens, it could be more useful.
Fixed in version 188.8.131.52 (cycle8-bug46282)

I got fixed build from 'xvs-win-cycle8-bug46282'lane but not seeing fixed build from 'xvs-win-cycle8' lane.
Please confirm me if fixed build will be merged into 'xvs-win-cycle8' for release?
