I just installed VS 15 with Preview 5 and wanted to switch to the latest alpha channel. I was prompted to install 22.214.171.1240. First, I had to install MS Build Tools 2015. When I installed 126.96.36.1990, Xamarin stopped working. I started getting "package did not load" errors. Xamarin VS templates disappeared. Tools -> Options -> Xamarin disappeared. Help > About Microsoft Visual Studio -> Xamarin disappeared.
Please see attached. Now I have no idea how to rollback.

Currently the Dev15 compatible version of Xamarin can only be installed through the Dev15 installer (or the Beta Xamarin updater channel). The builds on the Stable Xamarin updater channel will not be compatible with Dev15.
In principle you should be able to restore the compatible version of Xamarin included with Dev15 by uninstalling Xamarin from the Control Panel and then re-installing it using the appropriate option in the Dev15 installer.
