Thanks for the report! To help the Xamarin team address this issue as efficiently as possible, please provide additional information, such as:
- Do you see the same problem if you (temporarily) update to the new Xamarin.Android 7.0 version ?
- Attach the full log context of the error messages you are seeing. This looks like a build time error, so please attach back the complete diagnostic MSBuild output .
(In particular, this error the error message reported in Comment 0 is often itself not the "primary" symptom. It most often means that something earlier in the "ProductName.exe" build process failed (or sometimes that that project was not set to build in the current solution configuration.) The diagnostic build output should in theory contain all of the relevant error messages.)
- Do you get the same problem on a new template Android App or maybe on a new template Xamarin.Forms app?
- If not, then if possible, please attach a small, self-contained test case that reproduces the bug with as little code as possible.
See https://developer.xamarin.com/guides/cross-platform/troubleshooting/questions/howto-file-bug/ for additional details on what to include. Thanks in advance!
Because we have not received a reply to our request for more information we are closing this issue. If you are still encountering this issue, please reopen the ticket with the requested information. Thanks!
