Many developers are hitting issues surrounding the zips associated with the Android Support Libraries / Google Play Services libraries. I've listed a few here:
Additionally, even if developers don't hit this issue, the first time developers try our product, it can take anywhere from 2-3 minutes (on a fast internet connection) to download the required zips and decompress them. Couple this with a slow emulator (assuming they aren't using HAXM and/or Hyper-V VS Android emulators), and it could take 5 minutes for developers to see something on their screen. Additionally, _most_ (all?) developers targeting Android will be working with these now, so it's ideal that our experience is solid with it.
Downloading/decompressing these at install-time would help to resolve many issues and make for a much better first-run experience for Xamarin.Android.
+1 on this.
