Bugs 30054 and 36196 describe the problem to some degree. (requests since forms 1.4.x)
Those bugs are marked resolved, but the problem isn't fixed. Did both get marked 'resolved as duplicate' of each other, dropping the bug entirely without actually getting fixed??

If you are trying to make a password box, it would be nice for the keyboard to be lowercase by default. That's pretty much expected behavior everywhere.

If you set the keyboard to 'email' or 'url' you can get it in lowercase, but now the letters show as plain text not obfuscated. If you set the keyboard to 'Text' it is in uppercase (CapSentence flag I suspect).
Yes I'm saying if you mark an Entry as 'IsPassword=yes' and assign a keyboard of 'email' or 'url' then you can see the plain text.

I've tried to work around it in various ways but no success.

Also features missing include:
None of the flags are available in XAML
There is no flag for 'lowercase' even if you want to override it in C# code behind.

An Entry control with 'IsPassword' set to true and with no other keyboard definitions to override it is initially lowercase by default on all platforms.

Specifying the 'Text' keyboard will cause the Entry control to use the 'Text' keyboard settings, which include initial capitalization. If you don't want initial capitalization, do not specify the 'Text' settings.

As of XF 2.3.1, there is an additional option to specify 'None' as the keyboard settings, which is equivalent to the keyboard settings you get with 'IsPassword' set to true and no other options specified.
