Comment 1 Jonathan Pryor 2016-05-23 16:45:49 UTC
For starters, `end` being generated is a duplicate of Bug #24709, which we attempted to fix by upgrading FSharp.CodeDom.Compiler, but upgrading FSharp.CodeDom.Compiler introduced different bugs (Bug #39520), so we reverted that upgrade, which re-introduces Bug #24709...

We're unlikely to be able to fix Bug #24709, as Bug #39520 is far worse.

Additionally, your repro instructions are incomplete. I'm able to follow them, and get a project which doesn't fail to build.

I *think* that the missing piece is in:

> 2. Add new F# Lib project to this solution.

At 0:06 seconds in the screencast, I see that there are 2 packages present in the FSharpArchive project. However, that tree node isn't expanded, so I don't know what those packages are.

I would assume that one of those packages is providing the `end` resource, and if you removed that package you would fix the build error.

I have checked this issue again, and now I have deleted XamarinAndroid.Support.v7.AppCompat packages and try to build the application, I observed that its build and archive create successfully.

Please let me know that if I have to check something else ?
