Reproduction project

When displaying an entry view within a ListView or a TableView the caret/cursor is not visible along with the delete text button on the right end of the textbox, this only occurs on UWP platform. I have attached a reproduction project demonstrating the issue.

Can confirm this is still the case in Xamarin Forms in a tableview on both a phone and desktop.
Comment 2 Matthias 2017-04-12 08:03:40 UTC
This issue is still present in
Comment 3 Matthew 2017-07-19 09:09:35 UTC
This issue also affects Windows 8.1 (RT) projects, and related if you have the text end aligned in the text box the clear button (X) overlaps the text if you do the following
1) Click in the textbox, text moves to make space for clear button
2) Enter some text
3) Click out of the control, text moves back and clear button hides
4) Click in the textbox, clear button appears overlaying text

Same issue occurring for me with an Entry in a ListView Footer. In addition to what others have mentioned, you are unable to use the cursor to see any overflow text past the end of the Entry.
Comment 5 David 2017-09-18 05:39:55 UTC
Using Xamarin.Forms and UWP, I cannot see any overflow text nor Caret in my Entry which is in a ListView.
Comment 6 Derek 2017-10-20 15:33:30 UTC
Having similar issues using Xamarin.Forms
Comment 7 Paul DiPietro [MSFT] 2017-11-28 17:04:49 UTC
This appears to be resolved as of the latest 2.5.0 stable. The cursor and clear box both show up in the reproduction sample.
