Using MD and I see you added the iPad retina 144x144 icon - great! We also need to have a double sized (hires) iTunes image which is 1024x1024. You may want to add a placeholder for that next to your iTunes image spot.

Ah, thanks - I somehow missed that Apple had added a hi-res iTunes image.

Should be easy to add.

Hmm, what does this file get named in the .ipa? I can't find any docs mentioning 1024x1024 iTunesArtwork image files.

Are you sure that Apple supports his-res versions of iTunesArtwork? I checked Twitter, Facebook and some Apple app .ipa's and none of them use a 1024x1024 iTunesArtwork.

I think this is going to be for when they come out with Retina Mac's but if you look at the link below which outlines the graphics sizes for all the icons, etc. look at the second row in the table: "App icon for the App Store (required for all apps)"

I got this e-mail yesterday from Apple (iTunes Connect info) and they stated:

High-Resolution App Icon and Newsstand Cover Art for Retina Display
Starting in July, newly submitted iOS apps require high-resolution icons and cover art. Large icons and Newsstand cover art must have a minimum resolution of 1024 x 1024 pixels. To change your app icons or cover art, go to the Manage Your Applications module on iTunes Connect. For more information, see the Custom Icon and Image Creation Guidelines in the iOS Developer Library.
