AppDelegate already has a property 'Window' of type 'Window', so why does MD autogenerate a field called 'window' of type 'UIWindow'? Should I be setting the property to the same value as the field? Should MD actually be generating something like:

public new UIWindow Window {
    get { return (UIWindow) base.Window; }
    set { base.Window = value; }

Presumably you're referring to the templates, not code generation?

I don't see a Window property on UIApplicationDelegate...
Comment 2 Alan McGovern 2011-08-25 07:12:57 UTC
My UIApplicationDelegate does have a 'UIWindow Window { get; set; }' property. I initially thought it was of type 'Window' but I had mis-read the autocomplete, it is actually of type UIWindow.

The autogenerated AppDelegate has a 'UIWindow window' field. This is what's confusing for me. Why are there both?

@Alan: can you take this, I'm still unsure if we should add that.
