Description Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2012-03-22 14:53:47 UTC
MonoDevelop fails to reopen after clicking the "reopen" button on the Apple crash reporter. This seems to be because the OS is passing a -psn_SOME_NUMBER argument to MD, confusing MD's commandline options parser. We should special-case to ignore that - or maybe GTK+ should be passing it through to AppKit.
Comment 1 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2012-04-26 20:40:24 UTC
Doesn't look like it's the commandline arg. Must be something else that's happening when it's reopened.
Comment 2 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2012-05-03 20:26:45 UTC
Okay, this is weird. The argument is coming from Mono, not from MD. It looks like MacOS is trying to re-launch the entrypoint executable, not the app bundle.

5/3/12 8:23:38.585 PM com.apple.launchd.peruser.502: ([0x0-0x260260].mono[33369]) Exited with code: 1

This should get fixed automatically when we use a shim entrypoint executable for MD.

Confirmed that the shim entrypoint fixes this.
