Hi, can you attach logs from the client please? https://developer.xamarin.com/guides/cross-platform/workbooks/install/#Reporting_Bugs
Comment 3 Andreas Klapperich 2016-04-08 19:31:29 UTC
hello sandy
the log file is already in the report
Comment 4 Sandy Armstrong [MSFT] 2016-04-08 21:20:23 UTC
Ah, indeed! Thanks for pointing that out.

In the log, you'll see "Another workbook targeting WPF is already open." Currently, the Windows client restricts to having only one workbook of a given type open at a time.

This should be fixed in the next release.
Comment 5 Andreas Klapperich 2016-04-08 21:59:18 UTC
There is only one instance running
and I try to open a workbook from this one instance

Comment 6 Sandy Armstrong [MSFT] 2016-04-08 22:04:52 UTC
Right. You already have a WPF workbook open, and you are trying to open a second.

You would need to close the workbook, and then you would fine that File -> Open works fine from the New Workbook window. Or you could open from an Android workbook window.

I was going to remove this limitation in 0.7.1 but found a last minute bug with multiple workbooks so it got bumped. Will be fixed soon, though!
