After updating to pre 1, ListView no longer changes the "SelectedItem" and doesn't trigger "ItemTapped" if the ViewCell in the data template uses a BoxView.

Run the attached sample on Android (I used XAP with the S5 on Lollipop) and tap the white area in the ListView. The selected item property won't change and the tap handler won't be called.

Downgrade to Forms 2.1 and it's working.

Update: I can work around this by setting "InputTransparent = true;" in the BoxView subclass.
Comment 2 René 2016-04-07 06:12:10 UTC
If I interpret the documentation correctly, FALSE is the default value for InputTransparent and that means it would capture taps and not pass it on to the ListView. However, it behaves differently in previous versions of Forms.
Comment 3 Jason Smith [MSFT] 2016-04-08 05:28:52 UTC
This is fixed in 2.2.0-pre2. Was an oversight caused by a fix in a different area. Ultimately we would like BoxView to become blocking long term, with a default value of InputTransparent = true, but 2.2.0 is not the time for that change. It is now consistent between iOS/Android however.
Comment 4 Rui Marinho 2016-04-08 16:20:13 UTC
Should be fixed in 2.2-pre2
Comment 5 Parmendra Kumar 2016-04-21 18:27:07 UTC
I have checked this issue with Xamarin.Forms 2.2.0-pre4 and its working fine.

Hence closing this issue.
